Stopbanks Wine is the project of Fiona Turner, a winemaker and a director of Stopbanks Wines. Over the past six years she has been consulting and making wine with Matt Thomson, working with many of Marlborough's most successful wines and top producers over that time.

Fiona first joined the wine industry in Marlborough in 1995, and has since gained experience and developed her winemaking expertise in Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and the United States. Today she is actively involved in all aspects of the Stopbanks business, continues to consult and together with husband Hamish runs 50 acres of vineyard in the Awatere Valley.
