New Zealand’s Gewurztraminer grapes yield less opulent wines than the ones from the famous Alsace region, but they can still be impressively perfumed and spicy with clear-cut varietal characters, full-flavoured, aromatic and lingering. This rich wine is wonderful with slightly sweeter cuisine, Chinese or Asian-fusion for instance, spicy and fragrant dishes served with a sprinkling of fresh herbs.
