100% Chardonnay grown in the Marlborough region. Meticulous viticultural practices include low cropping and hand-harvesting.
Fruit was whole bunch pressed, transferred directly to 15% new French oak barrels and left to undergo indigenous primary and secondary malolactic fermentations for 18 months in barrel. Bottled without fining and with only minimal filtration.
A ripe, citrus-driven Chardonnay. Characteristic biscuit and oatmeal secondary characters and mild flinty notes contrast and complement the fruit. Dog Point's hallmark fresh, vibrant acidity creates vitality and vibrancy, with a modest amount of new oak delivering subtle char and phenolic structure to the wine. This is an intensely flavoured, yet youthful and lively vintage.
