100% Pinot Gris from Palliser's Om Santi and East Base vineyard blocks in the Martinborough winegrowing region.
Made in the Alsace style. Grapes were picked late to give good flavours and aroma concentration. Upon harvest the fruit was fermented in stainless steel and spent 10 months on lees.
Tightly bound, refreshingly steely aromas of white and yellow stonefruits that unveil nuances of exotic florals and minerally lees elements. Off-dry and medium-to-full bodied; tightly concentrated flavours of stonefruits are layered with honeysuckle, floral and mineral notes. The fruit is gently sweet and has a subtle lusciousness, the palate growing in richness with the roundness enhanced by soft acidity. Flows smoothly to a rich, lingering finish.
