100% Pinot Gris from the Martinborough region, made in the Alsace style.
Grapes were picked late to give good flavours and aroma concentration. Upon harvest the majority of fruit was fermented in stainless steel, with 9% in seasoned oak. Spent 9 months on lees.
A fine and delicate nose in expression with pure and ethereal aromas of white stonefruits, lifted with notes of esters, honeysuckle and musk. On the palate, restrained flavours of white and yellow stonefruits are enriched by hints of honeysuckle. Floral elements add to the interest. Flows gently to a soft-textured, dry finish with some length.
