100% Chardonnay from the Om Santi, Pinnacles and Clouston vineyards in the Martinborough region.
Fully barrel-fermented with approximately 28% indigenous yeasts. The wine was aged 6 months on lees with one stirring in oak, a portion new, with nearly all of the wine undergoing malolactic fermentation.
Tightly bound with flavours of white stonefruits, white florals, citrus and gunflint, unfolding nutty and mineral elements. The mouthfeel is bright, crisp and refreshing with lacy acidity providing good tension as the wine follows a very fine textured line. The palate carries to an elegant, lingering finish of white stonefruits and flinty minerals.
