100% Chardonnay from Saint Clair’s vineyards in Marlborough’s Omaka and Awatere valleys.
Fruit was carefully harvested, partially handpicked and whole bunch pressed to ensure the vineyard characters and fruit flavours were preserved. The juice was fermented in 50% new American oak barrels using selected yeast strains. Underwent malolactic fermentation followed by 10 months ageing on yeast lees with regular stirring. Only the best barrels were selected for the Omaka Reserve Chardonnay.
Pale gold in colour. Rich and complex with flavours of stone fruit and fragrant peach, combined with toasted hazelnut and smoky nuances. A round and full palate displaying nectarine and a hint of spice.
