A cuvée of three white grape varieties: 34% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Gris and 33% Müller-Thurgau, grown in the Wairarapa winegrowing region.
Handpicked, whole bunch pressed fruit was fermented in 15% new and 85% used French oak barriques & puncheons. Some maturation "sur lie" with occasional battonage. Racking by gravity to keep maximum freshness of fermentation.
Fragrant lifted aromas of orange blossoms and honeycomb with underlying flinty mineral notes. Bright and refreshing with layers of fruit reminiscent of stone-fruit and freshly ripened pears. An alluring core of spice and a sense of minerality that gives weight and structure, with a creamy texture leading to a long satisfying complex finish.
