Seresin Momo Sauvignon Blanc 2016

100% Sauvignon Blanc from vineyards located on the plains in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough.

Fruit was picked in cool temperatures to retain fruit quality. After fermentation at a low temperature, the wine was allowed time sitting on yeast lees to give greater palate depth and complexity.

Winemaker's Comments

Momo translates as 'offspring' in Maori; so-called because this is a second range produced by Seresin Estate. It displays aromas of tropical fruit and ripe pear, with herbaceous notes and a hint of chalky minerality. A textural and rich palate with subtle notes of lemon zest and passionfruit. Finishes long, crisp and dry.

4 STARS - Yvonne Lorkin Wine Reviews, Dec 2017

"Crafted by the talented team at Seresin Estate, this organic, biodynamically-grown glass of gorgeous is sauvignon but not as you’d normally know it. With its smoked passionfruit, bruised lemongrass and elderflower perfume it’s rather seductive and smooth. Peach and lime layers linger around a creamy core (gathered from 6 months lees aging) to leave a long, attractively astringent finish. Magic with mussel fritters."
