100% Pinot Noir sourced from well-tended, low yielding vineyards in Marlborough.
Picked at optimal ripeness, fruit was transported to the winery for de-stemming and chilling. Each batch was cold-soaked in open top tanks for 3 days and then fermented. During fermentation each batch was hand plunged up to 6 times a day for optimal colour and flavour extraction. Underwent full malolactic fermentation and aged on its lees before being blended, stabilised and prepared for bottling.
Intense aromatics of black cherry and plum mingle with subtle toasty oak. On the palate, the dark stone fruits are complemented by subtle cassis and hints of bramble, while the well balanced acidity ensures good length leading to a silky finish.
