RED | HAWKES BAY
Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Syrah has an attractive deep magenta colour, with aromas of cherry, cinnamon and orange zest. It has a touch of white Viognier, a traditional winemaking technique in France's Rhône Valley, which introduces a delightful floral aroma and supple texture to Syrah's spicy dark-berry flavours. The silky palate is full and juicy showing raspberry and peppery spices, with a long, elegant finish. Will continue to develop in bottle for 4 to 6 years from harvest, and is a great match with richly flavoured and lightly spiced dishes.
