Morton Estate The Mercure Merlot Cabernet 2007

Morton Estate The Mercure Merlot Cabernet 2007 is a fusion of Bordeaux varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Merlot dominates, with the other varietals giving complexity and structure to the Merlot's lush plums and berries. Dark plums, cassis, mint, cigar box, sandalwood, cedar and freshly shaken white pepper tantalise the nose. On the palate, dark fruits predominate swirling harmoniously with hints of white pepper, cedar and mint. Full, soft tannins complete the package; a great match to red meat dishes. Drink now or cellar up to 6 years.
