Seven Canoes Pinot Noir 2007 is from the Seven Canoes range of wines (the second label of Wild Rock, which of course is part of the top-drawer Craggy Range stable). This Pinot Noir is produced with fruit from the Cromwell Basin Vineyard in Central Otago, and has vibrant aromas of red berries with a background of savoury dried herbs and wild thyme. The palate is complex and elegant with raspberry, boysenberry and cherry fruit characters with a rich savoury undertone. Fine tannins and supporting acidity draw the wine into a long, bright finish.
Only limited parcels of this vintage remain, so this represents a rare opportunity to purchase a genuinely good quality Central Otago Pinot Noir at a fantastic price!
