Astrolabe Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2011 from the Marlborough region displays focused aromas of white currants, currant leaf, jalapeno and herbs. On the palate, it is pure and linear with clean flavours of currants, gooseberry and citrus. Finishes crisp and dry. Good with summer salads, salmon and seafood, especially green-lipped mussels or raw oysters. Has the potential to age gracefully over the next couple of years.
