Astrolabe Chardonnay 2009

Astrolabe Chardonnay 2009 is from grapes grown at Astrolabe Farm and Two Ponds Vineyards in the Grovetown district of Marlborough. On the nose it has ripe melon and dried stone fruits with vanilla and butterscotch notes, and a subtle mealiness. On the palate shows elegant texture with stone fruit flavours, pleasing weight and a long dry minerally finish. Lovely with pasta, poultry, pork and ham, Mediterranean cuisine in general, white fish and scallops. Drinking well from vintage and anticipated to develop further over the next few years.
