Babich East Coast Pinot Noir 2011 from vineyards on New Zealand's East Coast has plentiful aromas of blackcurrent, raspberry, spicy dark plums and a suggestion of mushroom. Attractive dried herb notes are also in attendance. The palate has red and dark fruits with cherries and strawberries. Pleasantly textured with fine tannins and a medium weight, this is an easy drinking Pinot Noir with intensity and a very good, spicy length.
