Astrolabe Pinot Gris 2012 is from the Marlborough region where high sunshine hours are moderated by a mild sea, while steep mountains keep moist and chilly winds at bay. A long, cool growing season leads to gorgeous flavours and this wine has a bouquet of white-fleshed stonefruit and pear, with hints of vanilla pod and citrus rind. The palate is pure and focused with fine minerality and delicacy of structure, finishing crisp and dry. Delicious with poultry, mushrooms and pasta. Enjoy now, or will age gracefully over 3 to 4 years with careful cellaring.
