Clifford Bay’s cooling influence has an intensifying effect upon varietal flavours from vineyards at the eastern end of the Awatere Valley. This wine shows powerful aromas of currants, wild grass and fresh lime, and has a generous, fleshy mouthfeel and long, steely finish. A superb match with seafood, particularly oysters, prawns, scallops and whitebait. It will also complement a range of vegetarian dishes and those with feta and goat cheese. Enjoy now but will benefit greatly from 12-18 months bottle age.
