Perfumed, richly flavoured and supple bodied, Pinot Noir is New Zealand’s star red grape variety. In its youth, the flavours are of strawberries and raspberries with a dash of sweetness. A mature Pinot Noir can be incredibly complex, with aromas and flavours of red berry fruits, violets, coffee, tobacco and truffly, forest floor notes. Wonderful with cheeses and delicately cooked red meats.
