RED | HAWKES BAY
Woodthorpe Syrah has a touch of white Viognier, a traditional winemaking technique in France's Rhone Valley, which introduces a delightful floral aroma and supple texture to Syrah's spicy dark-berry flavours. The 2006 is bright crimson in colour, with fragrant aromas of boysenberry and raspberry together with white pepper and jasmine notes. The palate is plump with juicy red berry fruits, syrah spice and nicely integrated toasty oak. Will continue to develop in bottle for 4 to 6 years from harvest.
