Pegasus Bay Main Divide Riesling 2007 from Canterbury has a variety of ripe stone fruit characters in the bouquet and flavour, reminiscent of peaches and nectarines. There is also a strong citrusy element giving nuances of limes, lemons and mandarins, supported by hints of tropical spices. It has a plump opulent palate, but yet it is kept elegant, lively and fresh by a spine of minerality and acidity which draws out its length and provides a perfect foil to its off-dry finish.
