The intense straw-gold colour hints at the richness of this wine. The complex nose is a combination of nutty, smokey, vanillin aromas from barrel fermentation combined with the fresh, ripe citrus aromas of the Chardonnay fruit from our Riverview Vineyard in Hawkes Bay. The palate has exceptional length of flavour and exhibits a full, luscious sweetness that belies the fact that it is in fact completely dry, with a good, firm acidity. Cellar for up to five years. Perfect for rich, white meat cuisine.
