100% Pinot Noir from two very unique parcels growing in Craggy Range's Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough.
Hand-harvested fruit, 40% whole bunch, was de-stemmed into open top oak cuves and stainless steel for fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Matured in 32% new French oak barriques for 10 months.
Aroha means 'Love' in Maori. Intense ruby red in colour, and the nose reveals notes of black rose, spiced red fruits, fresh bark and tar. Elegantly composed on the palate with lovely fruit density. Persistence and mellow tannins on the finish.
