100% Pinot Noir grown on elevated terrace slopes at the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough, where an ancient dried river bed delivers perfect growing conditions.
Hand-harvested fruit, 50% whole bunch, destemmed into a combination of open top stainless steel tanks and French oak cuves. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Maturation took place in 30% new French oak barriques for 10 months, with coarse filtration before bottling.
Aroha is a romantic word in the Maori language meaning love. This special wine is part of Craggy Range's Prestige collection and delivers beguiling aromatics of dark rose, ripe cherry, and a hint of freshly trampled dry pine needles. Unfolds seamlessly across the palate, with the dense core of ripe red fruits made to feel lithe by lovely acidity and complex fine tannins, befitting of the growing maturity of these Pinot Noir vines.
