61% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Cabernet Franc from premium selected vineyards in the renowned Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay.
Meticulously managed, harvested and fermented individually and blended to produce a wine that is a unique canvas of its place. The best parcels of selected fruit are hand harvested and destemmed with fermentation in closed top French cuves. Maturation in 42% new French oak barriques.
Darkest red in colour with brooding aromatically with blackcurrant, blackberry, dried red rose and cedar notes emerging. Exerts elegance across the palate with a pure red/black fruit core, drawn long by layers of fine grained tannins.
