Kim Crawford Pinot Gris 2018
100% Pinot Gris from different vineyard locations within the two main valleys in the Marlborough region.
Fruit was machine harvested at night and pressed immediately. After settling the juice was inoculated with a pure yeast strain. The wine was tank fermented and went through partial malolactic fermentation. Oxidatively handled and cool fermented to dryness using selected yeast strains, then blended, stabilised, filtered and bottled.
Wonderfully lifted aromatics of pear and Braeburn apples with pleasant hints of spice. The palate is well balanced with ripe fruit flavours of pears, honeysuckle and hints of orange. Finishes soft and round.

"A fresh, crisp New Zealand white wine made from the Pinot Gris grape. We generally associate kiwi whites with Sauvignon Blanc, but Pinot Gris is equally refreshing and also does well in a cool climate. This 2017 Kim Crawford Pinot Gris offers aromas of lime, Asian pear and lemongrass. Pair with seafood, shellfish and wonderful performances of the Cirque du Soleil."
