100% Chardonnay from the Om Santi vineyard in the Martinborough region.
Fruit was fully barrel fermented with approximately 50% by indigenous yeasts. The wine aged 9 months on lees in 26% new French oak with minimal malolactic fermentation.
Delicate aromas of white stonefruits and citrus fruits; tightly bound with nutty and creamy barrel-ferment notes at the core, along with nuances of lemon-curd. The palate is tightly concentrated and deepens in strength and depth, with stonefruit and citrus fruit detail. Layers of nuts and nuances of flint emerge with lemon-curd and barrel-ferment creaminess. Fresh and refined acidity leads to a long sustained finish.
