Palliser Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2014

***TOP 10 SUMMER***
Sauvignon Blanc Selection

100% Sauvignon Blanc primarily grown in the Palliser and East Base vineyards in Martinborough.

Grapes were harvested and processed at optimum maturity to retain the inherent fruitiness of this varietal. Cool-fermented, partially with indigenous yeast, and aged 6 months on lees.

Winemaker's Comments

Attractive aromatic aromas with tightly bound, finely expressed gooseberry fruit, and subtle passionfruit and tropical fruit notes. On the palate, elegant and refined flavours of gooseberries, tropical fruits, lime and herbs. White floral and minerally flinty detail add a layer of interest. The mouthfeel is dry in textural flow, with piquant acidity lending lively poise and steely cut. Flows to a tight, mouth-wateringly long and lingering finish.

Palliser Estate Sauvignon Blanc is one of very few 5 STAR & SUPER CLASSIC status wines, as rated by Michael Cooper: "This wholly seductive wine is one of the greatest Sauvignon Blancs in the country, with a distinguished track record to prove it. It is typically an immaculate classy wine, fresh, lively and simply overflowing with flavour" (Classic Wines of New Zealand).
