50% Pinot Noir is from our Brightwater Vineyard and 50% Chardonnay from Cornfield Vineyard in Nelson.
Fruit was hand harvested in the early hours when it is cool. Grapes are then pressed and given a short time to settle before being racked, warmed and inoculated. A smooth ferment progressed to dryness, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then transferred to bottle for fermentation and aged on lees. This wine was finished in 2016 to celebrate 40th vintage at Seifried’s
Grapefruit, warm brioche and buttered toast notes on the nose and the palate is luxurious and generous with full biscuity shortbread notes and a crisp, lasting finish.
