100% Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough vineyards in Benmorvine, the Brancott and Blind River.
The must was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with the majority carried out at 12ºC. No malolactic fermentation. To retain fruit purity and freshness, the wine was bottled early after only 3 months on light, fine yeast lees.
Stopbanks is a joint venture between Liberty Wines and two of New Zealand’s finest winemakers, Matt Thomson and Fiona Turner. It displays intense lifted aromas of passion fruit, complemented by ripe gooseberry, herbal notes and a touch of lime. A light-bodied, dry, crisp wine with powerful passion fruit and underlying lime and herbal tones on the palate. The finish is fresh and vibrant.
