100% Syrah grown entirely in the renowned Gimblett Gravels grape growing district of Hawkes Bay.
Fruit was destemmed and crushed. Cap management was a combination of hand plunging and pumping over Fermentation in open and closed top fermenters at temperatures of 30 to 34ºC. Underwent 20 to 25 days on skins, maturation in 33% new French oak barriques for 20 months.
An enticingly fragrant Syrah from an outstanding Gimblett Gravels vintage. Displays aromas of violets, dark rose and underlying spice. Elegantly balanced and finely textured, with a long, concentrated finish. This is an exceptional wine that will age well over time.
