100% Pinot Gris from Villa Maria's Seddon Vineyard in Marlborough.
Fruit was hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. Cool fermentation took place in stainless steel vessels and seasoned French oak barriques. The wine was aged on lees for 6 months with no stirring and minimal gentle filtration.
Intense fresh cut white pear, cinnamon spice and floral notes dominate the aromatics, intermingling with a core of yellow stone fruit flavours. A off-dry, finely textured palate displaying underlying purity and power. The acidity is balanced and, combined with concentrated fruit, creates excellent palate length and a lingering finish.
