100% Chardonnay grown in the Taylors Pass Vineyard, located on a warm, stony terrace on the northern side of the Awatere River in Marlborough.
Fruit was handpicked, destemmed and 100% whole-bunched pressed before fermentation in fine French oak barrels, 27% new. Malolactic fermentation with maturation for 14 months, before being minimally filtered with filtration once gently before bottling.
Refined and pure, showcasing this mineral-driven style, enhanced by subtle lemon citrus and complex 'gun smoke' characters forming the distinctive Taylors Pass vineyard aromas. An elegant Chardonnay displaying stylish finesse, characterised by layers of citrus, almond and subtle integrated oak, enhancing the restrained concentrated finish.
