100% Viognier grown in Sam Rose`s own vineyard on the banks of the Wairau river in Marlborough.
Fruit was carefully harvested in the early hours of the morning and returned to the winery in small bins. Fermentation was in stainless steel, with 10% of the wine aged in French barriques to give a slightly fuller and luxurious texture, before finally blending and bottling.
A subtle yet complex nose displaying aromas of apricots and lime marmalade. These characters translate generously onto the mouthfilling and vibrantly fruity palate, and are complemented by a rich soft texture and a subtle twist of oak adding complexity.
