100% Sauvignon Blanc from some of the oldest vines on the estate, planted in 1983, located on the northern side of the Wairau Valley, Marlborough.
Fruit was picked and brought in to the winery in small parcels, each distinctive block matched to its own tank, allowing the small batch winemaking that is key to building all the elements of the Wairau River blend.
Dry in style, displaying aromas on the tropical spectrum with notes of pink grapefruit, passionfruit and gooseberry. The palate exhibits intense fruit characteristics, classical elegance and a fine mineral acidity.
