100% Riesling sourced from the Bannockburn Estate Vineyard at the end of Felton Road in Central Otago.
Fruit was harvested and destemmed into the press. The juice was inoculated with a selected wine yeast and fermented in stainless steel to retain varietal fruit characters and kept very cool. Fermentation was stopped in order to balance the natural acidity with residual sugar.
Fresh citrus aromas on the nose of lemon, lime and mandarin together with stonefruit and floral notes. Sweet mandarin, lemon and stonefruit flavours show on the palate. A dry style wine with a crisp, balanced acidity, medium weight and a long mineral finish.
