The award-winning Cirro estate was founded by passionate winemakers and self-proclaimed ‘vineyard men’ Richard Green and David Tyney. Armed with a unique winemaking philosophy, which is the result of the many vintages the duo spent working in Marlborough making Sauvignon Blanc, the pair are consistently striving to improve their understanding of the Marlborough region to hone their skills. Tasting, analysing and asking why are three core steps in the winemaking process, as they continue to produce complex and expressive wines by blending the very best of the Wairau Valley’s finest vineyards.
